GBPVR 2.38 Script 1720 Error

Hello.. I was wondering if somebody would be kind enough to help.

I have WinTV PVR 250
Win MVP
.net framework 1.1 installed
Win XP, SP2 installed

I get an unfortunate error when running initial install:
"Error 1720. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package............."

Any help would be much appreciated. If additional details are needed please tell me what.

Solution:

uninstall SP2


Windows XP w/ SP1 seems stable

I saw something similar on another forum and it was suggested to use the new windows isntaller. Don't know if it helped though.

No trouble at all on 8 of my systems running SP2....must be a lucky guy.

Thanks for the suggestion.. It did the same thing on another box with SP2, but perhaps there was another underlying factor.

That box needed a rebuild anyway... I have it up and running, and have moved on to another problem. Ha.
