I just blew up my main pvr box and have been setting up GBPVR on another box. This one has XP MCE. All items seem to work except net radio. After selecting a station, it starts buffering and then says Failed to Connect to Radio Station. It will then tell me what song is currently playing sometimes. (if it didn't connect, then how does it know what is playing? Odd) I don't know if this is an MCE thing or something else. I do not see anything in the logs. (where should it show up?)

Do you get any error in you gbpvr.exe.log or more likely gbpvr.exe-native.log?

I don't see anything. The only thing that may be odd is from the native log:

18:46:39.625 VERBOSE MinimumFilePlaySize=200000
18:46:39.750 VERBOSE DirectShowPlayerVMR9() initialising...
18:46:39.750 VERBOSE getSetting(OSDTransparency)
18:47:03.406 VERBOSE getSetting(PreferredAudioRenderer)
18:47:03.453 VERBOSE FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: MPEG-I Stream Splitter
18:47:17.625 VERBOSE getSetting(PreferredAudioRenderer)
18:47:17.656 VERBOSE FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: MPEG-I Stream Splitter

doesn't it usually log when you try to start a web radio session? Or is that only on the MVP? (I am using the PC at the moment)

OK I just tried it on the MVP and it works fine. Any ideas?

Listening to these stations on your PC requires the MPEG-I Stream Splitter, but this is not being found on your machine. I'm not sure why this is missing though. Maybe you should install/reinstall the DirectX9 runtime?

Hi Sub,

Thanks for the quick replies. I just tried the Directx9c update and still have the same issue. Is there any way to test that function of directx to see if it is actually working on my machine with some other software?

You can run graphedit or the Directshow Filter Manager from http://www.softella.com to see if you have that component on your machine.

You are amazing!! I ran Directshow Filter Manger and the splitter was there. So I hit restore in the troubleshooting menu ( a shot in the dark) and it now works great!. Thanks for all your help and hard work. Merry Christmas!
