I occasionally get zero length files in my e:\program files\devnz\gbpvr directory. Filename is name of recorded program, with no extension and file date/time is start of recording. The main recorded mpeg file seems fine. I've been deleteing these 0 length files manually up to now and am wondering what may be generating them. They're not causing a problem, just being 'untidy'.

I'm aware of this issue, but dont know why it happens for only some recordings. I've got it on my list of things to look at when I find the time.

It is to do with saving the recording metadata. The file only looks like its zero bytes long, but there is actually an alternate data stream (ADS) containing information the recording (title, description, filename, start time, end time etc).

i suspect that they are created / left beind when recordings fail (for whatever reason)

Just resurecting this thread as I still seem to be having 0 length files in the prog directory. There doesn't seem to be a common cause. I've had virtually no recording failures. They seem to be 'directory name format' as they have no date/times in the filename. Notepad does show metadata attached to them.
