Capture source question

A friend of mine gave me a demo on GB-PVR and I think it is the coolest program I've ever seen! Problem is, I'm having trouble configuring it and getting it to work on my PC, I have about 100 questions, but first thing first...

I have a 7800GTX video card with built in nVidia WDM capture capability. Under *add new capture source* and then *recording source* there is no option for nVidia WDM. Will my current card be able to capture and update the EPG? Or do I need to buy a seperate capture card. If it will work, what are all the settings should I use? Thanks in advance.

I believe the answer to this question is no. I haven't seen around here using your card for PVR purposes. In fact, I had no idea the 7800 series even had a video capture feature!

I would say yes it is a safe bet that you will need to buy a different card. The Hauppauge brand cards work great. Just be sure to buy the ones with PVR in the name. If it doesn't have PVR in the name then chances are it wont work in GBPVR.
