I searched the forums and haven't found anything on this yet, so forgive me it if has already been addressed. I have a new install of GBPVR on a new install of Windows XP Pro. I ran all Windows updates and have .Net 1.1 w/ hotfix, and .Net 2.0 installed. Any help would be appreciated.

When I try to load gbpvr, I get the following:

Application popup: GBPVR.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services : Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id=0x558 (1368), Thread id=0xaf8 (2808).

Click OK to terminate the application.
Click CANCEL to debug the application.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

At boot, I get Event ID 0 for GBPVR Recording Service:

Service cannot be started. System.Xml.XmlException: The root element is missing.

Thanks.

Sounds like you've edited config.xml and broken the file (ie, not valid XML), or a plugin as done so.

Thanks sub. I tried a re-install of all .Net stuff and a reinstall of gbpvr before your answer. That didn't work. So I did an uninstall of gbpvr, moved the directory and reinstalled. Everything is good now. Thanks for all the hard work. Smile
