Just when I thought I had everything working, I find that I have the same logging problem as described here:
http://gbpvr.com/cgi-bin....;t=1108

Basically the log fills up the entire hard drive and there is nothing I can do about it. The log file is locked while GBPVR is running, so I can't schedule a task to delete it. I tried all three logging modes in the config program "error" "info" and "debug" but this doesn't change anything. It just keeps filling up with
21:38:52.765 VERBOSE Pvr350Helper::getEventCode()
21:38:52.765 VERBOSE Pvr350Helper::getEventCode()
21:38:52.781 VERBOSE Pvr350Helper::getEventCode()
21:38:52.796 VERBOSE Pvr350Helper::getEventCode()
21:38:52.796 VERBOSE Pvr350Helper::getEventCode()
21:38:52.812 VERBOSE Pvr350Helper::getEventCode()
21:38:52.828 VERBOSE Pvr350Helper::getEventCode()
for ever and ever and ever.

I thought I found a workaround for this: go into the FM radio menu, pick a station, listen to it for a few seconds, and then press the stop button. This stops the logging, but it causes a huge memory leak that just keeps growing and growing until it hits 2GB and the whole system grinds to a halt. So much for that idea. [Image: sad.gif]

I'm using a PVR-350 with TV output enabled, GBPVR version 0.22 dated 2004-10-16 and the drivers that I have came from shspvr.com in the package called hcw1_8_22170_pp2.zip
The driver versions are as follows:
hcwpvrp2.sys 1.18.21.22168
hcwconv.ax 1.17.390.21346
hcwecp.ax 1.2.21348
hcwprp2.ax 1.17.250.21153
hcwutl32.dll 3.8.22159
iyuv_32.dll v2.00.00.00
mch263.drv 4.4.3385
msyuv.dll 5.3.0000000.900
tsbyuv.dll 1.0.5
vfwwdm32.dll 5.00.2134.1

Is there anything at all that I can do to fix this? Newer drivers? Older drivers? Registry settings?? Anything?? Help!

If you don't actually care about logging, you could write-protect the file. Just empty it's content down to a single line, then make it read-only. I'm not sure how GBPVR would react to that, but that's worked for me on other applications that get log-happy.

If your running 22.7, go to the configurator, click on MISC tab and change logging level to Info Or Error. Debug is default and produces the most log information.

Daks you are a GENIUS!
Setting all three log files to be "read-only" fixed the problem. No more infinite logs!  [Image: biggrin.gif]

GB-PVR is running perfectly smooth now, the commercial skip plugin is great, and I just ordered a 200GB hard drive. Looks like a donation for Sub is in order as well.

I'm certainly enjoying my new toy!

I've also made sure this message wont fill the logs in the next release.

Is this normal for the logs to be this large? I have the same problem along with a lockup wihle starting to play Vids ever 2-3 days. Are these possibly related? I too am using a PVR-350.

Some machine generate the "Pvr350Helper::getEventCode()" log message a large number of times. I've just taken this message out of the next release. This has nothing to do with the lock up.
