ifo/ iso to mpeg format

Sorry for the really dumb question but I am stuck and can't seem to find the right answer to my question. I searched around but can't seem to find a good description or software to use.
I figured out how to convert DVD's to either ISO or IFO using DVDdecripter and learned how to mount the ISO image but can't figure out how to convert the ISO or IFO to MPEG format. I downloaded Fedora (sp?) IPOD converter but it puts it in MPEG-4 format which works great for IPod use but not for viewing through the Media MVP. Can anyone point me to software that will take the ISO or IFO image and convert it to MPEG format to watch over the MVP.

My suggestion is to use the Video Archive plug in and the tools that it calls, it's then integrated into gpvr to present a button to do the job. Works for most DVD's.
