I noticed my very widescreen movies which when played with windows media player are letterboxed on the top and bottom on my 16:9 tv. When I play the same movie using GB-PVR their is no letter boxes. Does that mean GB-PVR is cropping my movies? If it is cropping them, am I able to disbale this feature?

You can cycle through different aspect ratios with the F7 key.
I'm not always right

Is their a way to just set it to play all video at the correct ratio with no distortions(stretching)?

It means exactly that, if you're playing the video out to an MVP then pressing F7 has no effect. The MVP is the secret weapon to gain wife approval. Smile

It's a little box that you sit next to the tele while keeping the noisy f***off PC tucked away. The MVP (or should I say our MVP's) is what for me makes gbpvr rock.

cool. So the mvp is a piece of hardware that attaches to your tv. Then this hardware recives a signal(ethernet?) from the gbpvr server?

Correct. Worth pointing out that you ditch the Hauppauge software and you get the gbpvr interface instead. Smile
