This is a great forum but so many people seem to have tried different things to get the stick working.

I did load down the Yukoma..drivers and they seemed to install ok but when I tried to run the config program the PC would just crash with a memory dump..

So...

has anyone got some step by step instructions for a newbie like me

eg..
Control Panel/Device drivers.. delete driver X and driver Y
Remove usb stick
reboot
Control Panel/ add new hardware etc..

exact setting up of GBPVR in config..

Hope this isnt asking too much..

It's asking waaaay too much Smile Have you read the Freecom DVB stick thread?

If you use the Yakumo drivers from the beginning there's no need to install the Freecom stuff and gbpvr just works. Of course, if you tried the Freecom stuff first then you'll have other issues, some people do some don't there is no magic way.

It might be easier if you document exactly what you did to install from the beginning.

David.

I installed the drivers from Yakumo's website on a fresh machine and followed the instructions given on that thread and GB-PVR couldn't start the device. I bought another USB stick (Cinergy T USB XS) while I wait for Freecom to produce official BDA drivers.
