HAHAHA - I really do appreciate your help. I'm not too concerned and won't lose any sleep over it. I'm just happy i can record with your program.

For anyone else: VideoRedo Plus doesn't work either. I tried to use it to convert to mpeg and the results were about the same as using gbpvrconvert.exe. Supposedly VR Plus works well with MCE produced dvr-ms. Oh well. Game Over.

Sub,
I hope you have time for one more test. I emailed you a link for a new sample, I was able to reproduce the problem on another machine with a fresh install. The file I sent you before did actually work, my error. Thanks

I was able to resolve this issue using this cyberlink mux (thanks to stattik)

pempgmux.ax
VERSION: 4.0.2221

Download a demo version of PowerEncoder from cyberlink and this file is included.

sub,
The Native Utilities.zip appears to be corrupted or something. I attempted downloading it twice. Both times it listed it as being 1.39MB instead of the 900+ KB in the post. Also, when attempting to open it, I get Invalid Archive file.

Can you repost a fresh copy of the Native Utilities?

I think I may be close to having all my problems solved with following this thread that Crickert and zaidwalk have been corresponding in.

Thanks! Greg

The patch attachment isnt corrupt. Some IE6 users have problems downloading zip attachments from this forum. I'm not sure why exactly.

If you use IE, turn of 'Use HTTP 1.1' option under Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, HTTP 1.1 Settings.

Cheers,
