GBPVR config failing.

Im new here and I just installed GBPVR on my machine.
As soon as installation is finished it appears to try to launch the config program and that crashes it. Unknown error it says. I will get the screenie and post it tonight (im at work! hihihi)

I had tried GVPVR not a week ago and since I loved it I quickly re formatted my computer, set up the bare minimum and had it ready to initiate its media center lifecycle but for some reason I cant make GB PVR to configure.

My machine currently is:
AMD 2400XP
768MB RAM
ATI 9550 256MB RAM
PX-TV402U capture card

Installed on it is:
Windows XP SP2 all latest updates,
.NET 2.0 Framework (I never installed the 1.1... could this be it? ill try it tonight)
Media Player 10
ATI latest drivers
Plextor's drivers (no WinDVD though I tried installing that and trying GBPVR again... didnt work).

I think thats all... I dont really understand what is going on... Im now wondering if I should have installed first .NET 1.1 and then .NET 2.0... and if that has something to do it with.

Any ideas?

PS: oh.. and I would appreciate any input on NTL cable... I would be using my Plextor on Composite source and thus i wont be able to change channels on my NTL Box... but how will any epg system work? it cant change channel now can it? Anyone knows a way to change the channel automatically?

Yes. GBPVR is uses 1.1 and 2.0 does not include all the 1.1 components. Give it a try.

You can buy an USB-UIRT, which will let GBPVR change channels automatically on the box. http://www.usbuirt.com
