okies get this I just programmed some shows and then programmed a longer movie and suddenly (boing got a conflict) although that didn'tmake sense whatsoever, but I thought about it for a minute and the way gbpvr selects the tuners it made sense.
okies here is the scenario I have two tuners:
#1 One hauppauge 150 PVR no fm
#2 one winfast 2000 xp (with soft plug-in)
I record weekly on saturday at 2 pm on channel 13
then I selected three cartoons on channel 5 for a quick record at 12 noon 12:30 and 1 pm
then I selected a movie on channel 13 from 12 to 2 pm and suddenly all three on channel five got flagged as conflicts. :S
I let them all be deleted and then I reprogrammed them afterwards and I get no conflicts. :p
This is my theory of what is happening there Card number one is already tagged to record my show at 2pm (since it's the only reoccuring it makes sense) then I decide to record the cartoons and well that just is dandy and the software again tags these recordings to be done with tuner #1. When I then select the movie on the same channel as a show that is already tagged for tuner one that follows immediatly after the movie the software says stop!
Because it wants to use tuner #1 for the shows just programmed on channel five that would cause tuner 2 to record the same channel on from 159 till 202 even though there is nothing else being recorded at that time and it shouldn't be a problem. However Gbpvr wants to eliminate the gap on the two consecutive shows and therefore use tuner #1 on both the movie and the reoccuring show hence the conflict, but when I then bump the three shows the movie get's flagged for tuner one and then when I reprogram the three cartoons on channel five they get flagged for tuner two hence no conflicts because now gbpvr is happy that it can eleiminate the gap.
Sub am I seeing the logic right? If this is true might I suggest eliminating that logic and allowing people to choose tuners in a future release, because that way you could use different tuners to record consecutive shows if you decide to to so and create an overlap barring another recording.
Why you might ask? Well sometimes my reoccuring shows are on the same channel and the reoccuring shows have like a preview for the next show and a lot of times it get's killed because of this logic (part of it ends up on the first, part of it is missing and part of the preview ends up on the next show)
So the overlap (on the same channel) that get's eliminated by this logic could be useful in some cases on the same channel.
Anyway Sub you do a great job : D
What you think did I get your logic algorithm right or am I missing something?
