Skip forward quits after limited uses...

I've been trying to get back to the half hour point of something I recorded but can only seem to skip forward 10-12 times. After this, pushing the skip or scan forward/back buttons do nothing. I can still pause, play, stop etc and use the other functions.

Any clues?

this doesn't solve the core of teh problem but if you enter 30 on teh remote the FF it will skip 30 mins.

Sorry I can't be of more help. I have noticed this from time to time as well.

What dongle version are you using? You might get some improvement by trying another one, can't say what version is best. I use version 22-03-2005 size:1730080, it does pretty well for me. Yesterday I tried a beta-version from hauppauge (30-12-2005, size 2404896). It looked good, was stable (tried only a short while) only took longer to startup.
