stattik,

Sorry, but I'm a bit confused at the response.

In one of your previous replies,"I tried recording straight to the Cyberlink MUX but there were problems so I just record to dvr-ms and convert to mpg."
So how do you set the Cyberlink MUX for autoconversion?
The BDA Multiplexer lists several options. The BDA Muxchecker lists CyberLink MPEG Muxer VERSION: 5.0.0813. I've, also, tried CyberLink v. 4.0.0.1313.
I can't tell it actually did anything. I have unregistered and registered them appropriately so that only one is listed in the BDA Muxchecker.

Does this feature work with ATSC signaling?

Regards,
Greg

The Cyberlink mux is always used if you choose to convert from DVR-MS to MPG. If you have multiple versions of the Cyberlink mux, it'll use the first one listed by MuxChecker.

stattik is using ATSC. In theory it should work fine for ATSC, but I know there have been some users that have had problems with this.

Just make sure the correct cyberlink mux is only cyberlink mux found by the mux checker.

All my ATSC recording uses the DVR-MS mux and auto-coverts to MPG. Some programs cause gbconvert.exe to hang. On those programs I use the Moonlight M71 muxer manually to convert the shows.

DVR-MS is starting to work in Comskip.
But I need a longer test file.
Can someone upload a file (preferrably SD) with at least a transition between show and commercial with a black frame and silence?
I am also looking for a file with MPEG2 audio and one with AC3 audio

PM me for the upload details.

Erik,
I would be happy to do that. But I am not sure how to record dvr-ms for SD. Also do you know of a tool that can cut dvr-ms? I was not able to find one.

I am starting to receive test files so no problem if you can't help.

pempgmux.ax
VERSION: 4.0.2221

This fixed almost all problems I had with dvr-ms conversion.

The mux is installed with Cyberlink PowerEncoder. I believe there's a demo of it available. Just remember to remove other Cyberlink muxes.

Has anyone found the PowerEncoder Demo/Trial or any other App. Trial with this Mux?

That was was better than my other CyberLink Mux, but still not 100% with HD streams.

Anyone know of a mux that works well with HD streams and of course GBPVR recording directly to mpeg2 without have to convert after recording..?
