PVR150 IRBlaster Troubles

I've been trying to get my PVR150 IR Blaster to control my DirecTv RCA DRD2222RD receiver (supported) all night. I put the sensor directly over the receiver. The led on the blaster does flash red, but the box never goes off. I went through the long drawn out process of testing all codes, but still nothing. For kicks, I tried it on my Hughes HIRDB2 receiver too. Nothing. Is there something I can check? Is there an IR led in the blaster or is it just a red led?

You might want to try the latest 24041 beta here as it fixed the same problem for all the UK Sky Digibox users even though Hauppauge have said that box was supported for a long time.

That's the version I'm running. Are there any settings that can be tweaked for better performance? I've got the blaster taped to the ir receiver on the settop box and even going through all the codes it STILL doesn't turn the box on/off.
