Cannot play a program while it is being recorded.

I find that if I try to play a program that is still being recorded GBPVR just shows a black screen and locks up. If I try playing the program (mpg file) with Windows Media Player I get a message saying "The file is already in use. Close other programs that might be using the file, or stop playing the file, and then try again."

I don't know why this has started happening now, it was working OK and I can't think of what I might have changed.

Give VLC (videolan.org) a try to see if it got the same error.

VLC is one of the best player which gives you all control without remote. Check the hot-keys under settings, it gives you options to skip 1 or 3 minutes, skip backward 30 secs, etc...

The strange thing is that it has started working OK now. This is what I have been finding, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

I'll try VLC next time it happens to see if it can give me a clue to what is going on. I did try WinAmp when it was a problem and it wouldn't play the files either. Now it does play the file and it is the same file that is still being recorded and that I'm now playing OK.
