hi,

Im new to gbpvr, so bare with me

My specs are as follows

P4 1.9ghz Intel
640mb ram
DNTV Live! Pro! Tv Tuner card dvb-t
Twinhan Sat-CI DVB-S PCI Card
ATI Radeon 9250 Sapphire 128mb

Ok now for my q's

1) Is it possible to 'seperate' the satellite channels from the terrestrial? Or group them somehow?

2) Is it possible to get an OSD of the channels when i change?

3) Where do i scan for FM radio channels?

4) Is there a list of skins for gbpvr somewhere? If not, i think it would be a good idea, to have it somewhere in the wiki Tongue

That's all for now i think, i was hoping i could keep this thread as a 'running' thread, whilst i set up my htpc, instead of creating a thread for each new issue.

Or is it better that i create a new one? I'll be hoping for quick answers of course Tongue

Thanks

You can change the order of the channels as shown in the EPG and when you hit ch+/-, under the channels tab. Just change the "channel number", and they will appear in that order. That way you can group them any way you want.

Unless you have set the "use minimal OSD", the default behavior of gbpvr is to show OSD.[/QUOTE]

oh ok Smile

cool, lol. So there's no way of grouping it like "folder for satellite" and "folder for terrestrial" ?

And where do i scan FM?

Thanks heaps guys, i was trying mediaportal for a while, and those guys wouldn't reply to the posts in the forums and so there was no support. This seems heaps better Smile

Not that I'm aware of. Curious, though, why do you want that?

I have never tried it, so I don't know. The manual entry has little info. But maybe it helps? http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manual/Radio
Otherwise I'm sure someone will come along and help you.

well basically, parents watch the satellite more than anything, and they're used to having a seperate box for each thing. Ie Digital set top box for tv, and Satellite receiver for satellite. They want to keep it seperate. Shouldn't be a huge problem i guess. I think i'll just start all the satellite channels off at 100. That should be 'seperate' enough.

Hm, ok. Just remember, that if you have stations that are on both terrestrial and sat, you don't really have much control over which source gbpvr will use. And unless you actually name the stations differently (for terrestrial and sat), they will only show up once in the EPG.
