Still trying to get GB-PVR and MCE Remote 2005 2a working with my STB. When I select an STB channel to 'Watch' from the TV Guide the IR LED flashes brightly but the channel does not change on my Sky Digibox. I've tried holding the LED right in front of the Digibox IR sensor without success.

I have my source channel set to the correct three digit number for the Digibox. Am I missing something else I should be doing?

What channel changer is your capture source configured to use?

@sub

Meanwhile i am owning the MCE Remote 2005 2a (european Version is called 2a).
I have connected an IR-LED to the Blaster #01. The Light is placed over the sensor of my PACE STB.

A few days ago i could first time see LIVE within the IR-Blaster! I could see the flashing lights... it TRIED to switch the channels. But another time it didn't reacted, even the same using.

I think, that the native steering by GB-PVR isn't very good for this remote. But HIP i can't use, because the replacement driver cannot recognize the V2a... -.-

First i had a Remote from the PVR-150 with the Hauppauge Drivers... this one worked best. After this i had the SMK Version of the MCE Remote (PVR-500 MCE), this one was a piece of junk.

I bought special for GB-PVR usage the MCE Remote 2005... only to see, that just a few buttons are supported... and i can nothing do to remap them... :-(

Please, sub... i beg you. If you have a little time left, then please spent it vor the MCE Driver inside gb-pvr.

Configured is all correct, if you think about something like this. Mapped to the Input from the TV-Card into which the STB is plugged in. Configuration with your tool was errorfree.

PS: Sorry, that i am using this thread, but my problem seem to be the same.

Hello Sub,

My Capture Source (Digibox) is configured with the MCE2005 IR Blaster Plugin.

I know you posted that you had not put a lot of work into that plugin and seemed to be suggesting that people go the Hip route, but then I saw that it was part of the changes in .97, so I gave it a try.

Sub, ignore the info in the sig. These questions refer to a P4 1.7 Mhz, XP Pro SP2, 1MB RAM box, with WinPVR 350.

Its probably still worth going the HIP route. The change in v0.97 was only very minor bug fix.

Sub, before I write off your MCE2005 blaster plug-in, can you confirm that it has been known to work with the Sky Digibox? Took a quick look at the Hipguide and it looks daunting to me, so on the rule that 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' I'll opt for the built in plug-in if I can get it to work. BTW, when working properly do all/most of the MCE 2005 remote buttons work?

I've not seen any posts indicating it works or doesnt work with the Sky Digibox. I've only tried it with a couple devices I've got here.

This is unrelated to the above blaster discussion, but yes, with the exception of green start button, clear button, teletext button, I think all buttons work.
