Does 0.97.7 need more memory to run?

My recording server is low on memory. GBPVR is the biggest memory consumer.
I am still running the 0.95.16 version. I only added the webadmin and the priorityrecording pluging. The GBPVR UI is never active.
DO I have to provide more memory when upgrading to 9.97.7 or is the new database better w.r.t. memory usage?

There doesnt seem to be much in. As far as I can tell, it uses about the same.
