How do you work the slide show in the Photo Library?

How do you work the slide show in the Photo Library? I can't figure it out. Nothing happens when I press the button. Do I have to select which photos to display? If so, how do I do that?

I think pressing play on the remote might do it....

you have to highlight the first image in a directory and then press the slideshow button
