Hello,

before I upgrade to the latest version - what are the steps one needs to take to preserve the current configuration?

At a minimum, I would not want to do all the channel mapping all over again. How can I make sure these are preserved?

Secondly, what is the recommended way to upgrade to .net 2.0, when you have .net 1.1 installed already? De-install the old .net first, or install 2.0 over the old version?

Anthing else important I may have overlooked?

Thanks in advance,
Frank

As far as .NET goes, just install the 2.0 runtime. 1.1 and 2.0 play nice together.

For your GBPVR install, have you read the v0.97.9 Survival Guide?

Spartan just pipped me to it. Just save config.xml and gbpvr.mdb in case you've got to revert to your current version. Install .net 2.0 over 1.1 and upgrade gbpvr over your original. I found that everything just transferred over with no problem, but that was just on a single machine with no MVP.
Best of luck and happy viewing

Thank you both for the information. Very much appreciated.
