Do you mean for streaming to other TVs in the house? MVP devices can be used with GB-PVR for this purpose.

If you mean streaming across the internet, there is a plugin or two that enable the ability to playback recordings across the internet, but not live tv.

The built in web admin will do it, but you VLC installed on the remote machine for playback.

Can it be used to stream live tv ? or just recorded tv shows.
And what's the streaming method used in the web admin ?
http, mms, rtp, rtsp ? because different streaming method has different url and it didn't say in wiki

I think that practically all of your questions are answered on the wiki page and the corresponding forum threads. (treads are linked from the wiki).

About the live streaming this does not (yet) work. A simple workaround is to start a recording and then start to view it.
