Hi guys, new poster and user of GBPVR. From what I've seen so far, it's a great piece of software and an improvement over the Win TV bundled with my HVR-1100. I recently encoutered a pretty serious problem, however.

Using the TV guide, set a program to record. It seemed to start correctly and recorded for the correct period of time. About halfway through, i tried to watch in real-time - and got a black screen. I then left well alone until the recording had finished, only to find absolutely nothing. No recorded file in my output directory, and nothing in the "ready" section of GBPVR.

I wonder if this is related to the intermittent tuning problem I'm getting. When i first go to watch Live TV, things start up no problem. However, if i go back to the main menu in the software, then return to Live TV, I often get a 'no signal' message. Skipping a few channels ahead until signal returns, then back to the original - previously blank - channels sorts things.

Any ideas as to what this problem could be? Thanks in advance...

You could try the patch from http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=17820. It might help. If not, post the logs and I'll take a look.

Thanks for your prompt reply, sub.

I've solved the first problem, though - unfortunately this Idiot set the output directory as a folder that doesn't exist!Cool

So that one is sorted, but I'm still having the re-tuning problems described the second part of my post. Would you still recommend applying the patch you linked to solve this problem?
