First, thanks Sub for such a cool piece of software...I am just getting used to it, and am very impressed so far.

Saying that, I am having a problem with v0.97.13

Some system info first.

Epia M10000 board with 512MB...not ideal I know, but records pretty well.
WinTV PVR2 USB
Windows 2000

I was messing with Video Codes ealier, to try and get Audio and Video in sync.

Played an episdoe of band of brothers, no problems at all. Then tried a couple of episodes of South park, and they will not play. Screen opens up as if video will begin, but stays black.

I have attached all the log files...forgive me if I have attached some that you don't need. (please tell me which ones in particular I should attach in the future).

Can you play the file in Windows Media Player?

Sub,

yes sorry, should have mentioned that. Files will play from Windows media player / Nero no problems, just not from within GBPVR

I see an attempt to play south park failing in the logs, but that was not a recording, it was an .MP4 file. You'll need to have installed an appropriately splitter to play this type of file (like Haali splitter in this case).

Thanks Sub, that fixed it, my mistake, I transcode all recorded files to Video ipod, and of course told GBPVR to update database to point to the mp4 file....

Changed the file extension in the database, and it works fine.

Which log file should I be looking in to solve these sort of problems myself.

There is never an easy answer to that.
