Zero-length files in GBPVR folder

I have a pile of zero-length files in my GBPVR folder. They are named after some of my recordings (but not all). All the above are reoccurring recordings but it has done it on occasion for non-reoccurring recordings. Is this correct?

This is a long standing bug, though I hadnt heard about it happening in the last few months, so I'd assumed I'd finally managed to fix it. Seems not.

I'm not sure why exactly it happens.

The zero length file actually has an alternate data stream called metadata.xml which contains information about the recording.

My recordings folder is "V:\Recordings\". My recordings are grouped. I have no plugins enabled outside of the default. I have several plugins from the main menu disabled (DVD, Video Library, Music Library, Net Radio, System).

Now I have a reoccurring recording for Lovejoy but that hasn't produced the empty files.

If I can provide any information that may be of assistance, please let me know.

Sorry, as I said above, I dont know why this happens. I known what is happening, but not why. I've never been able to reproduce it here in the debug environment, so never really had a chance to take a closer look.

I recently had the same Zero-byte recordings issue and while my problem was completely different as per this thread, I listed the solutions I found as follows, which may (or may not) be useful:

1. Try the Native Utilities Patch 12 July 2006.
2. Check you have a MUX Filter installed.
3. Check Signal Strength?
4. Check system hasn't just come out of hibernation.
5. Check HD Space.
