Remote Control tweaking for DirecTV

I'm a newbie with GBPVR, looks good so far. My problem is that I can't get the IR Blaster on my Hauppauge PVR 150 to power on my DirecTV Box. The IR Config can turn it on and off but this feature is disabled when saving settings. Is there a way to do this with HIP or other software? FYI, I am able to switch channels. Your help is much appreciated. James

Is there a reason you can't just leave the box on all the time?
I leave the one attached to my GBPVR on at all times.
Their tiny boxs & don't use much power at all.
