Hey,
I have just got the Hauppauge HVR 1100 her in the UK and have setup to use DVB-T. I have installed GBPVR and gone through the configuration process. I setup the TV card a a NOVA T. This as automatically detected.

I loaded in the EPG and went to map the channels. I found all of the Freeview (UK) channels I currently get and even previewed them while scanning. I setup the software MPEG encoders to the Hauppauge one.

However when going into GBPVR and into Live TV i get a "Error: Object Reference not set" which is the generic one I understand.

I have played with it loads but cannot seem to get it working. I have attached the log files and am on the latest version 0.97.13

Thanks in advance

I can see two problems in your logs:

Quote:12/08/2006 16:15:36.281 ERROR [1] Error sending girder event: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it
12/08/2006 16:15:36.296 ERROR [1] at System.Net.Sockets.TcpClient.Connect(String hostname, Int32 port)
at GBPVR.Backend.Common.GirderTunerController.setChannel(Int32 channel)
This looks like you've configured your capture source to use Grider, but Girder isnt running or a firewall is getting in the way.

Quote:12/08/2006 16:15:37.656 ERROR [1] Error: msg=0x202 (WM_LBUTTONUP) hwnd=0xd025c wparam=0x0 lparam=0x11700ca result=0x0 : System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Can you try switching your renderer from VMR9 Custom to VMR9?

I have changed to VRM9 and taken Girder out. This has sort of worked when I go to live TV now it comes up with a black screen for about 30 seconds then you get a picture but it is frozen.

Any ideas what could be causing this.

Thanks

Zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

I'm not really sure. There isnt anything obvious in the logs, but I'd try two things

1) apply the patch from sticky 'v0.97.13 survival guide'.
2) try another MPEG2 video decoder

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.
