Having performance issues while ussing gbpvr. When i pause tv or fast forward or rewind a recording the whole system begins to stutter and almost completely hangs up. Once it does this the only way to fix it is to restart.

If you look at taskmanager at time of hang up (assuming it will come up) gbpvr is using 99% cpu at time and at others it seems system is using 99% cpu.

I am working on a dedicated PVR box with the following specs and a fresh install of win xp pro sp2:

2.0 ghz pentium 4
1 gb ddr ram
128mb GEForce MX 4000 PCI card
adaptec avc 3610 dual tuner (thanks to sub)
250 gb hard drive

Things i have tried to fix this include:

1. Several different codecs and settings on video playback
2. Replacing quartz.dll in directx 9.0c

If i never pause livetv or fast forward a recording it runs great.

Thanks
sub

For future reference, if I dont answer your question, dont PM the same question directly to me. Its not appreciated. If I didnt answer your post, then I probably didnt any thoughts on the subject.

That said, reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll see if I can see anything obvious.
