mc2xml issues

Anyone else having problems with mc2xml? My OTA guide is not updating correctly, no show details for all the channels. I tried downloading mc2xml.exe again, server #3, emptying and updating, still no luck. i am using the same mc2xml for my cable channels and they are updating correctly. i get this message when updating in the config app:

Your epg source does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the epg source settings and try again. Database disk image is malinformed.

might wanna try adding a -f with the -c US and -g zipxxx to your mc2xml line...
[forces a refresh with location data to rebuild .dat ffile]

but that can also happen when it can't find the xml file..
make sure path is correct..

I seem to be having a similar problem. It update only 7 days recently and now won't update at all. I'm using mc2xml with schedules direct. Mc2xml has been flaky for me for a while. I may have to look elsewhere.

mine is working as usual...full 2 weeks of listings for both locals and sat..
i did notice the actual data descriptions for many shows were missing a while back also..
but i checked and it was TMS fault, even my sat box had no or little descriptions for shows that normally had everything including actors,etc..
my sat box epg had exact same data as my guide..
things seem to be back to normal now tho..
i'd check your xml files..the odd character can stuff up the works..
i use ultraxml enhancer also..no probs..

what's your mc2xml line look like?
the reason i say the -f is needed is the .dat file eventually needs refreshing as they change it occasionally..
i just add the -f and my -g zip and -c country code every time so i never have a problem..

mc2xml -f -c us -g zipxx -C channellist.chl -o file.xml

I've tried -f but it makes no difference but had been successfully using mc2xml -d 360.
In order to get it to work for me, I need to go into Settings/Channels then change the source from xmltv to none and back to xmltv for each channel. Then update epg again. This is a pain to do for all the analog so I just forget about them as I don't care about analog but still lots of work for the digital channels.

it's really more about the zip and country code that needs refreshing..
you have to specify country and zip each time..
been running for years without issue since i changed to specifying zip and country every time..

the -f just forces an update even if one was recently done..

Before I called it quits last night I added the variables and ran an update.....no difference. Did it again this morning, and still have a large number of channels that won't show up. Only works if I do what I mentioned in my previous post.
By the way, adding the -f causes a beep and a message that tells me I shouldn't use -f if I already updated since it puts a strain on the servers.

i use the v1.0 from the homepage. it doesn't work with -f on the schedules direct service and only beeps on the ms service. maybe you use an old version or are using wrong .dat file or have a directory problem.

homepage says it defaults to 7 days on schedules direct service so use -d for more hours/days

-f isn't going to help even if lineup changes so it isn't ever useful

Thanks for all the useful input guys...Just want to let everyone know, the problems was with the 46123 zipcode data. When I used a nearby zip, 46205, I got a legitimate xml file. Just had to remap several of the digital channel numbers. MC2XML is working fine. Maybe whoever is responsible for inputting data for 46123 fell asleep at the wheel. Hope this helps anyone with similar epg issues.
