I'm not asking for you to research, if you don't know that's fine. There are other members on the forum that may know.

I just checked the C:\Program Files\CyberLink\Shared Files folder where I'm assuming the decoder is kept, and nothing there has been modified any time recently. So I don't think the decoder has changed.

Fair enough, but the cyberlink decoder not being compatible with VMR9 is still the reason you're not getting any OSD.

Just fix it by switching decoder, or fixing the registry settings, or by installing a version of the Cyberlink decoders that is compatible with VMR9

Is there a list of versions that are compatible anywhere?

No, I dont have a list. The Cyberlink decoders that come with PowerDVD6 and PowerDVD7 seem to work well with VMR (with EnableVMR9=1 registry setting).

If you'd prefer to stick with your current decoder, you can use any version of the Cyberlink decoder with the Overlay renderer.

K, I figured it out. At some point I must have changed from VMR9 Custom to just VMR9. And I think I remember reading somewhere that to get OSD to work with Cyberlink you need Custom.
