There is probably other ways you can do it. You might be able to use an IR Blaster along with a wireless IR extender or something similar.

Okay, I am still stuck. I created a capture source, for external fixed channel tuner pointing to the desired channel. I still get whitenoise. Nevertheless, when I open wintv2000 i am able to see channels. What gives?

Its probably the channel number and/or country and tuning you've set in your capture source.

If you run the tuning assistant does it find your channel?

Its installed with GB-PVR. It would have created a shortcut for it when you installed GB-PVR.

Enter that channel number in the 'constant channel' box in the recording source settings. Below where you selected the 'fixed channel external tuner' option.
