I have a single card in now and the audio output is hooked to the line in on my sound card. I am about to add a second - how do I hook up the audio so I get audio output for both cards for live TV??? (say one is recording and I want to watch live TV on the other)

I dont really understand what difficulty you're having. You need to have the line out on your sound card connected to your tv or amp.

You can add as many PVR250s to your machine as you want. Each PVR250 will either be using its tuner to receive audio, or the its own audio L/R RCA inputs (if connected to an external cable/satellite box) - neither of these options physically connect to the soundcard.

I guess you could get another audio card, but a better idea would be to buy a PVR150 or something else that does not rely on passing the audio through the line in jack

EDIT: ok so I have never used one of these cards, but I know some of the old hauppauge cards neeeded a little cable going to the line input of the sound card to get audio from the tuner

Wasn't that for the 350 with hardware-encoder enabled. If you wanted audio to come out of your computer you could link the 350-audio-out to the soundcard. Afaik the 250 doesn't have audio out.

The 250 has audio in, but not out.

Yeah ,stupid me, I just figured out that the audio is fed to the sound software by the driver!! And that is an audio in jack, not audio out.

Apoligies to all!!!
