Key mapings for Hauppuage Remote

Hi, Where can I find the key mapings for the Hauppauge remote control? I have a 45 buton remote and would like to know what buttons do what. Some of them are odbious but others I don't know and there are some funtions I would like to be able to do with the remote such as navigate the guide by day. I can go forward a day in the guide but don't know how ot go back ot hte previous or current day after have gone forard a day or more. Thanks.

There used to be a page on the wiki that described some of this. I cant remember exactly where off hand.

In the TV Guide, skip-forward button jumps forward a day, skip-backwards button jumps back a day, Fastforward button jumps forward a page (2hrs), Rewind jumps back a page, CH -/+ does page up/down, and you can type a channel # + enter to jump to a specific channel.

Thanks for the information sub and rbelisle. THe replay bution which lets me go back a previous day in the guide after going ahead a day or more does not work. Where can I check in GBPVR that the replay button is in fact mapped to going ot previous day in the guide? Or could this be a low battery problem in which not all buttons work? Thanks.

If you press the Ctrl-LeftArrow keystrokes, does it work? If so, then it sounds like a mapping for this key is missing from the irremote.ini file.

There is a file in your windows directory called irremote.ini. In this file there should be a section that starts with [GB-PVR]. Open the irremote.ini file in notepad and do a search for [GB-PVR]. You should see a list of remote control keys that map to keypresses. Make sure the following lines are in there:
SKIPFWD={ctrl}{right}
SKIPREV={ctrl}{left}

As long as these are there, it should work. Let me know, maybe I can help you troubleshoot further.

Hi sub, it does not work. Oddly enough if I press ctrl+right arrow on keyboard, it jumps a day in the guide. rbelisle, I edited the file irremote.ini to include SKIPREV={ctrl}{left} but still a no go. Thanks.

If you didnt restart your computer or restart the IRRemote service then you will not see any change - do a quick restart and try it again.
