bits Wrote:Thanks...that would work for me but not my wife. She starts the app with the Hauppauge remote and strongly prefers that it be a small window so that she has the option of leaving it small or making it maximized. The problem is that she sometimes forgets and closes the app maximized. I find this to be a rather silly bug...with a the sofistication that went into making this program you would'nt think a very fixable bug like this would remain unfixed. I can not image other users do not find it annoying as well.

If she starts GB-PVR with the HP remote, it means there's a line something like "run{gbpvr.exe}" in the irremote.ini. In that case, you can add -pos to that line.
So whenever she starts the application using the remote, it will open in that window.

I think the comparison is wrong--maybe compare gbpvr to something like mediaportal, but not beyond tv...
If you want to know why nPVR is the bomb, ask my wife!

Seems to me that comparing GBPVR to BTV is valid...why do think it is not a valid comparison?

Yeah, I'll be a parrot, the best thing about GBPVR is definitely the support. I don't know what Sub does for a living, but if I didn't know better I would think his job is 24/7 tech support for GBPVR! He is always on here and he makes sure everything gets solved, quickly.

I never used BeyondTv because 2 years ago I installed GBPVR. It does everything I need and it never crashes. And its free so why use anything else?

I don't know if anybody else has done the maths before but Sub has made over 28000 posts in just over 3 years.......I make that around 2 posts for every waking hour in the last 3 years!
