Hi
I have un-installed the software and re-installed it, then did to procedure you described again. Now it at least doesn't show the error message when clicking config.
Now I have the problem of nt being able to get it to recognise the freecom. I have set the recording source as follows :-
recording source = BDA recording plug-in
device type = freecom dvb
epg source = bleb(uk)

I have tried to tune the channels in by clicking on "map digital channels to epg channels" but i get the following error "failed to locate configured BDA capture device" and "unhandled exception error" as follows :-

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** Exception Text **************
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at NativeUtilities.BDARecorder.SubmitTuningRequest(String tuningRequest, Boolean force)
at NativeUtilities.BDARecorder.StartScanTransponder(String transponder, Int32& signalStrength, Int32& signalQuality)

at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)

I have tried freecom dvb 2 but no difference. Is it something about the way the drivers are installed as there is no way to install them manually. You have to install the whole freecom software to install the drivers. Have I done this wrong ?
Thanks

I dont really know much about freecom devices other than what I've read in other user's posts. From this reading I get the impression freecom devices are big mess. Heaps of different versions of drivers, all using different names, and none of them working very. If you do a forum search you'll find various discussions about them.

I'm guessing your driver names dont match those currently listed in bda.ini. You could try creating a new section that matches your specific install by following the instructions here: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardw...aptureCard
