Hi,

Can anyone advise why it's not possible to watch Live TV on a channel that's being recorded even though an option is given to watch the channel that's being recorded?. This problem happens on both GB-PVR PC and Media MVP. One DVB-T Tuner is enabled only however I'd understood that it was possible to watch the same channel that was being recorded.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thak you.

from the program guide, select the program that is being recorded - you should then be given the option to 'play' it rather than watch it. you can then press ctrl+o to jump to the 'live' position in the show (i.e. you are wathing the channel live, but in timeshift mode)

Hi, Thank you for your reply. What you've said is what I've tried and it doesn't work Sad.
Clicking on Watch Hotel Inspector either returns to the main menu or results in an error message.

Any ideas why this problem is occurring?.

Thank you.

I think the exact error message and a copy of your logs would help pinpoint the problem.

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=16767 for how to zip the logs.

Hi martint123 and Sub, Thank you for your reply. I've carried out a complete channel scan again and changed Muxes from Intervideo to Cyberlink and the problem seems to have cleared itself. However I'm not convinced that this was the cause of the problem as this has happened on several occasions over the last 3-weeks. Shall post logs if problem persists though.

Thank you.

Hi, Cyberlink Mux appears twice on carrying out a Mux check. Is this likely to cause problems?. Tried unregistering however the two muxes still appear.

Found: CyberLink MPEG Muxer
FILE: C:\WINDOWS\system32\MpgMux.ax
VERSION: 5.0.0813

Found: CyberLink MPEG Muxer

VERSION: 5.0.0813

Also VERSION: 5.0.0813 seems to be resulting in poor video playback. Can anyone please advise where a more recent or better still more reliable version can be downloaded?.

Thank you.

No, probably not. It'll always use the first one listed in mux checker.
