When exactly do you get this error in the config app. Zip and attach the logs and I'll see if I can see any obvious cause.

Hi Sub,

Thank you for your reply. I've removed this capture device now however would like to get this to work if at all possible. Since installing this DVB-T Receiver and finding that the config utility freezes even though a channel scan was successful I've added my primary DVB-T Receiver back into the config utility and GB-PVR seems to be working alright, however, having checked several program recordings that were scheduled for recording since adding a WinFast DTV Dongle whilst they appear in the recordings list there's no 'play' button. Live TV seems to be alright however programs do not seem to have recorded successfully.

Checked folders that have been created and there are no .mpg files in them.

Any ideas?.

Thank you.

Hi Sub, Thank you for your reply. Thought that the problem might have something to do with the WinFast DVB-T Receiver but wanted to check for certain. Is it worth trying to add the WinFast DVB-T Receiver after the primary DVB-T Receiver?.

I've removed the entry for the WinFast DVB-T Receiver and manually recorded a program and the audio/video playback seem to be alright.

GB-PVR config freezes (program not responding) with the WinFast DVB-T Receiver only added however if this device is added in addition to my primary DVB-T Receiver GB-PVR config opens and closes alright. Is this how you'd expect GB-PVR config to behave with and without BDA drivers which could be flakey?.

Thank you.

Of course not. I've never seen the behaviour myself, or heard of this happening for anyone else, so I can only guess that some wierd hangup is happening in this device's drivers or something similar. Without having access to device exhibiting this behaviour there isnt really much I can do about.

Hi Sub, Apologies but I think that you might've misread my question. Was certainly not having a go. What I was asking was whether or not you would expect GB-PVR config to freeze where a flakey BDA device driver is being used because adding a known working DVB-T Receiver in addition to one which has been identitied as possibly having a flakey driver seems to have made GB-PVR config more stable again.

Do you think that it's worth trying to install both the DVB-T Receiver with and without flakey BDA device driver and verifying whether or not GB-PVR works as it should work or is it advisable to abandon the DVB-T Receiver with flakey BDA device driver for use with GB-PVR?.

Exchanging the WinFast DTV Dongle that I'd bought for a Freecom DVB-T type 3 Receiver (which is known to work with GB-PVR as you're probably aware) is probably a good idea but I'd welcome your thoughts on this.

Thank you.

Keep up the good work.
