just a quick update on this one for the sakes of completeness....
I emailed all the UK TV operators, and the regulatory body, when this problem first cropped up. Since then I've only had two replies:
1) OFCOM (the regulators) said EPG data wasn't really their business
2) Channel 4 seemed genuinely concerned at first, until they found out that I was using a PC/PVR rather than a bog standard STB and then went strangely quiet - I can only guess that this was either because they automatically assumed that that was where the problem lay, or perhaps more cynically, they dont want to help out anyone who skips through the commercials more often than not Wink

As for ITV and C5, not even an automated response - shame on them both Big Grin

I'm having problems with mux2 channels in that I can't find them on a scan at all. It may be the stick itself (freecom dvb-t) because this happens in other software too, but the aerial I'm using I know can pick up all channels.

I actually started a thread on it here (with more details):

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=24726

before I realised my missing channels were mux2, and then found this one by searching on it.

If you have any ideas please let me know - thanks.
