Ok, I've read all the accounts of people who had memory issues... but I never thought it could happen to me.
I've had issues on and off since I put my system together over 6 months ago. One of the problems I've reported on here was with the Live Video taking awhile to start and the OSD causing a studder.
Out of sheer frustration, I took a stick out of my main PC to test it out in the HTPC. The same amount of total memory (512MB), and it has solved all of my issues. Not only is the PC stable (2 weeks now with no lock-ups), but it is MUCH faster. I had no idea that the ram would make such a huge difference. No more video studder on liveTV.
I had run several lengthy memory tests with zero issues.. so I thought the memory was good. Which it might be, but at the very least it has some issues with my motherboard.
Just thought I'd pass this along...
