I've done a search and didn't come up with a definitive answer.

MP3's play fine in GBPVR, but I can't get mp4 or aac audio files to play. I installed ffdshow and WMP 11. I tried both AAC codecs in ffdshow, but still no audio. Any other suggestions?

TIA

EDIT - Problem solved by installing audio codecs from 3ivx.com (30 day trial - $7 US for audio codec license)

When it comes to these types of files, GB-PVR just lets Windows decide what directshow filters to use. If the file plays in Windows Media Player, then they'll most likely also play in GB-PVR.

Although it won't play ITMS aac files because of the DRM. Only iTunes will play those.

Just in case that is related to your issue.

Good point, groover. I actually meant to say M4A files, not MP4. The M4A files were ripped by iTunes and will play in iTunes, but were not purchased in the ITMS.

I guess I'll try some other audio codecs and see if I can get them to play in WMP first.

My solution was to install the audio codecs from 3ivx.com I believe it's a 30 day trial and costs $7 US after that just for the audio codecs.
