I have had GBPVR running reasonably well under RC1 of Vista, but when I tried 99.5 under RC2 I'm getting .NET Framework Initialization Errors. I've reinstalled Vista from scratch but am still getting the same errors. Vista comes with .NET 2.0 preinstalled.

Has anyone had success with RC2?

What do the errors say?

I used RC2 for my compatibility tests.

It appears to install OK, but when I try to run config.exe, it pops up a window with ".NET Framework Initialization Error". I also tried 98.13 with the same result. If I try to install the .NET 2.0 package, it tells me that it's already installed as I would expect.
I'm expecting Vista OEM Edition in the next week or so, I'll try that when it arrives.

No problem, I'll post an update when I get the released version of Vista. Happy New Year!

I am having the same problem as Sota, though I believe our setup may vary slightly.

I am running Windows Vista RC2, build 5744. It comes pre-installed with Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0.

I downloaded the most recent version of GB-PVR (09905), and it installs fine. Then, when I go to run either Config or GBPVR I get the same dialog box that Sota was getting:

Window Title: "Config.exe - .NET Framework Initialization Error"
Window Text: "Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application."

I fiddled with the "Turn on or off Windows components" section, to no avail. I tried to download and re-install Framework 3.0, but it wouldn't let me install.

I tried to download and install Framework 2.0, but it wouldn't install that either.

Hopefully sub can figure out what is going wrong here and get a fix soon, cuz I really miss my GBPVR!

P.S. Up until yesterday I was running Vista Beta 2, with GBPVR working on it. My problems started when I got rid of Beta 2 and did a clean install of Vista RC2 Build 5744.

Sorry, I'm only really going to look into problems with the final version of Vista. I should have a machine with it in the next few days.

I have the released version of Vista and it is nice... (yes). But, I'm having issues with the Hauppauge software and drivers. GBPVR seems to work great, though, so hopefully when you get the release it will work out.
