0.99.5 config crash

fresh install of windows xp pro sp2 (fully updated), with the .NET 2.0, video and audio drivers installed, along with ffdshow. fresh install of gbpvr, which initially worked (sort of).

minus small problems, everything worked, however after fiddling for a while, i rebooted and ended up with a bunk install of gbpvr.

config.exe won't run (wants me to report the error to microsoft)

after uninstalling, and reinstalling the problem persists

tried reinstalling .NET 2.0 to no avail

since then, i have uninstalled and reinstalled at least 5 times with no change.

any ideas? i foolishly allowed it to install ie7, could that be it? after uninstalling ie7 the error still persists.

I foolishly let Windows update install IE7 on Thanksgiving morning. It took me nearly a week to undo the havoc that fiasco caused with my computer.

Microsoft should be ashamed for the grief they've caused with IE7. Never again will I let Windows install anything until I fully check out if there are potential pitfalls of doing so.
