Hi all,
I was wondering if there was anyway to download my videos 5 rc 3? I see that it is no longer available and would love to have a copy (I lost my hard drive and was on vacation the last time Reven allowed it to be downloaded from his site).

Not quite - looks like MyVideos5Beta02c is the one I am currently running - you can have a copy if you want though. [Edit - it looks like I have skinned the latest version though. hmm... will look further]

we really need a replacement to My Music. Sub's music library is pretty close, but a few key control features are missing, such that i don't use GBPVR for music playing any longer...

MusicLibrary2 and MusicPlayer are the only actively developed music plugins.

I am sure Psycik and Jeff would like to hear what those plugins may be lacking (if anything).

probably the main items that drew me to My Music were the sorting/naming by the directory structure rather than an ID3tag list, and the rectangular grid icon album cover view.

sub's Music Library is nearly there, but it is missing some key queuing and playlist management options. as the music plugin is not his main focus, he is not interested in adding 10s of features to satisfy everyone's tastes.

frankly i hadn't given Jeff's Music Player a fair shake. i just installed it. it seems to have the major aspects of what i liked about My Music except the icon album view. it has a similar layout to Video Recorder, of which i am a big fan for TV recordings (list view), but i don't like the views for music.

not sure what it would take for him to add a view like this, or if that would be enough to satisfy other users of the plugin formally known as My Music...

I plan to add the grid view as part of a major rewrite I hope to undertake at some point to bring Music Player back in line with the Video Archive plug-in. If you look at the video archive page on the wiki site you can see the various views I have created for it. The UI is very flexible and extensible and many more looks could be done if someone wanted to spend the time to work on it.
