Must say I'm impressed with this plugin, a worthy replacement for the default music library, and indeed reven's My Music. I've just installed it on my HTPC box (this, if you don't already know is a big achievement).

How long does a fast scan take? The full scan takes over 1/2 hour on my machine (50gb+ of MP3s). Afraid of setting a scheduled scan in-case it takes to much time and resources.

Comments/requests:

• Having a space between the artist and track name will increase readability eg The Jam - David Watts instead of The Jam-David Watts.
  
• Seems to fail if the album title contains a ' eg: Sam's Town. Any way around this?
  
• Don't know if you've used itunes before but it has a nifty feature which allows you to mark albums as compilations - artists which only have songs from compilations don't show up in the artist list. This is great to avoid lots of artist entries 1 song each - good for dance compilations, NOWxx etc

The first scan is slow, subsequent ones are faster as it only updates tracks that have changed. And if you know how often you pt down music (once a week) you can set the schedule to 5 days on the scan day. The fast update looks for changes that have happened on the file system while gbpvr has been running.

The quote problem i know about and there is a new version coming to fix this. I've also made the update side into a windows service/command line app.

So there are some changes coming which until today when my laptop decided that it doesn't have network capability, I was getting on with.
