I'm not going to go into the nightmare that I've had with the install (just a simple update!!) of CA Internet Security Suite 2007. Particularly the firewall portion.
Suffice to say over the last three weeks, I've spent well over 20 hours trying to get their firewall to install and work properly by going anywhere between a non-bootable (except in safe mode) PC to a PC with no functioning firewall. Most recently, last night, they sent me a procedure to try which finally got the firewall installed and working but to my horror, the firewall caused GBPVR to not work and basically hung my PC again. After several more hours this morning, I've been able to uninstall most of the security suite and get GBPVR working again. In fact for some reason, my GBPVR directory became massively corrupted during all this and this morning, I had to restore GBPVR from a backup.
Bottom line GBPVR and their firewall (currently) are not compatible.
Sub, are you interested in doing anything regarding this? I have some extra licenses for CA Internet Security Suite 2007 if you'd like to try it out and find out why GBPVR won't work with it?
