I purchased a new PVR150 off of "FleaBay" it just arrived yesterday and I poped it in and when I go to set up my capture sorce and when I pick the PVR 150 it says it is not installed. When I check the box that says "only show devices on this system" (wording may be a little off) the only thing that it shows is a HVR 1500MCE and HVR 1600 both analog.

After that long intro, my question is do I need to worry? I have not hooked it up to my STB yet (that is today) but the remote works fine.

It's not clear from your posts whether you have installed the drivers for the hauppauge card or not. If you have, it should show up in the list. If it doesn't show up, something is not right...
I'm not always right

stefan... Thanks for the reply. I guess my real question should have been did I get screwed? The box says its a PVR150 (1054) but when I put it in my box and configure GBPVR it shows up as a HVR 1600.

It sounds to me like you've ended up with the HVR1600 some how. (unless there is a new version of the Hayppauge PVR150 drivers that have done a major renaming of their drivers)

An HVR1600 would have 2 antenna connectors and look like this.

It is a dual tuner. ATSC and NTSC. Hauppauge only supplies XP drivers but I can get you a Windows 2000 driver if needed.

I heard that due to a shortage of PVR150s, Hauppauge substituted the HVR1600 in many boxes. Since it has hardware incoding for SD like the 150, the HD portion could be considered an upgrade. But, the 1600 uses a different chip set han the 150 so drivers could be a huge issue for many applications.
