Hi

I am having so much trouble with Daemon Tools and xDVD, done everything i have been told, but still not working.

Is there a way to get GBPVR to play ISO files with VLC player instead of mounting them onto Daemon Tools, as VLC player can play ISO files directly. Thought i'd ask

Cheers

I don't know. GB-PVR uses the M$ DirectShow libraries to display media, while VLC player implements its own functions. I doubt it would be possible to change the program guts to use VLC player instead of DirectShow, although it might be possible to implement a plugin that uses VLC player.

Can you decompress the ISO image as file contents (VIDEO_TS directory, etc.)? I know that the embedded Video Library plugin understands DVD files on HDD, since that is how I've been watching some ripped DVDs lately.

IIRC ubu does something like this for ubustream - I think a instance of VLC is placed on top of GBPVR, it may be worth dropping a line to see if they can give you any pointers...
