Deinterlacing...

I'm sick of having my hdtv recordings not playback properly.


With intervideo, it only plays without hiccups the first hdtv when opening gbpvr.
And the video is washed out with intervideo.


When using nvidia, i can get good playback having deinterlacing set to combine fields. However the video is interlaced. How can i get the video deinterlaced? I can try using ffdshow i suppose, but when i check use ffdshow and have raw and mpeg 1 and 2 checked off with deinterlacing, it doesnt do anything.

Any ideas?

Can't you just let Nvidia choose the best form of deinterlacing?

having it set to auto or best or whatever causes the video to skip during playback.

I'm guessing your PC and/or video card are underpowered for HDTV and struggling a bit.

I had assumed that also. Which is why I'm trying to get ffdshow deinterlacing to work to see if possibly that works.

I cant think of any reason for this, but if you reproduce and zip and attach the logs I see if there is anything obvious in the logs.
