i just installed the ati tv wonder 550 and am trying to use gbpvr with it. i set the epg and that works. I use the tuning assistant and that tunes all the cable channels and i can see the picture clearly.

But when i use gbpvr to view the channels I just get color lines no picture but sound. Does anyone know what i'm doing wrong? I'm using winxp home.

Do you have an MPEG2 decoder installed? I'm guessing not.

Could it be the Nvidia aspect problem causing coloured lines. Trying cycling through using F7.

(If your using a Nvidia card)

Thanks, that seemed to get me a picture. But the picturing seems to be stuttering a lot. I Do have a second tv tuner an avertv. In the config, the hardware decoder device does not list the tv wonder 550. It only lists the happauge 350 (which i don't have) and the sigma designs x card.

i have it set to the sigma card. is that right? it does not show the tv wonder 550.

This device doesnt have a hardware decoder. It has a hardware encoder - which is used during recording.

You need have this setting set to 'none - use software decoding'.

I am using the nvidia 6600gt and am running a intel core 2 6300. I changed to use software decoder. and it still has the same problem.

Thanks pete but what Do you mean cycle through f7. mines just opens up the print options.

I also used the mux checker. and it says NO MULTIPLEXER FILTERS WHERE FOUND ON YOUR MACHINE.
And that i need xp sp1 for it to work. i am using win xp sp2.

If its stuttering, then its most likely caused by your audio or video decoders or maybe the quartz.dll thing (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=5600).

You dont need a mux with that type of card.

If you press f7 during live tv it should cycle through different aspects,
