I've been running GBPVR for a month or so using my cable. I want to hook up my VCR and record off of it, but haven't seen how to do that. Or what if I want to just view what's coming in off my VCR. I've plugged it in using the comosite connections on my AverTV 150 card.

You can set up an additional capture source for that device, with the input set to composite or svideo, and the EPG source set to 'none', then manually add a channel called something like 'AV1' or 'composite' or something similar. You'll then be able to switch to that channel in live tv, or schedule manual recordings for it.

When you set the EPG to none, you can't add a channel.

You can, but not until the capture source has been saved. Try ok'ing out of the config app, then go back in.

Cool, that worked...

Except... I notice a lag. I tried my playstation on the Composite, and from moving the controller to seeing the reaction on the screen, is about a half second delay.

Is that Hardware? Or Software? Can I adjust for it in GB-PVR?

Yeah, thats normal. Its the delay going through the encoder hardware.

I wouldnt recommend trying to play a game console this way.
